THE TIME AND THE VOICE OF CHILDREN
This platform, an initiative of Adriana Friedmann, aims to constitute a space for multidisciplinary studies, research and exchange of 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_listening with, for and about children. The purpose is to develop and disseminate research, courses and publications, bringing together researchers and scholars in the field of childhood. Along with the platform, the book 'A vez e a voz das Crianças: Anthropological and poetic listening to childhood' was born, published by the Panda Educação label.

CURSO LIVRE - A VEZ E A VOZ DAS CRIANÇAS:teoria e prática nos processos de escuta e observação
Every human being is, since childhood, educated, guided and led – in the family, in formal education, in the community to which he belongs – to follow certain paths and standards to adapt to his socio-economic-cultural environment; and/or the expectations of parents, educators or other caregivers. However, in these paths, not always and not all individuals are respected in their singularities and unique ways of being.
We are going through a moment in history when listening to the voices and expressions of children - social actors and protagonists of their lives - becomes a challenge and priority for all those who are in tune with childhood in the most diverse territories. Children have an immense repertoire of knowledge, much of which we are unaware of. To do so, it is imperative to create times, spaces and opportunities to listen to their voices and apprehend their realities, feelings and needs. This is how we launched the 3rd edition of the lato-sensu postgraduate course 'A vez e a voz das Crianças', which takes place at A Casa Tombada.
STUDY GROUPS
BIOGRAPHIC AND AUTOBIOGRAPHIC STUDIES IN THE ARTS
From the selection of biographies, autobiographies, correspondence and diaries of artists, poets, writers, musicians, dancers, philosophers and others to be chosen by the group, we will delve into the life stories in dialogue with those of the group's participants. From in-depth studies of several biographies – whose choice criterion will be cultural and artistic diversity –; and putting light on childhood memories, loves, family ties and significant soul ties, gifts, remarkable experiences, we will continue the saga of knowledge and deepening in the complexity and multiculturality of human beings.
The proposal for this journey will be intertwined with proposals for artistic expression. We will work with music, clay, painting, drawing, body expression, writing in prose and poetry, instruments, singing, embroidery and other manual arts, whether or not the participants are aware of it.
BOOK: THE TIME AND THE VOICE OF CHILDREN
The development of processes and drawings of listening paths and the recognition of children's repertoires and knowledge constitutes a field of knowledge that is taking its first steps. Investing and delving into such listening and research processes opens the possibility of – with the results and productions obtained – building new knowledge, originating from the voices and expressions of the children themselves.
In this study group we will study and deepen the themes that concern giving time and voice to children, based on the book 'A vez e a voz das Crianças: Anthropological and poetic listening to childhood'.

THE TIME AND THE VOICE OF CHILDREN
The topic of listening to children has gained more and more attention, which fills us with joy and the desire to contribute to this movement of valuing their multiple voices.
The Collective "A vez e a voz das Crianças" was born from an invitation made by the anthropologist and educator Adriana Friedmann to a group of people, involved with childhood, to reflect on the rich universe of listening and researching with children.
We then launched a Manifesto to publicize our stance on children and their expressions during this period of extended social distancing.
